A considered approach to bespoke eyewear
Our bespoke frames are designed and made in-house, developed either from first principles, through thoughtful adaptation of existing designs, or by carefully recreating much-loved frames that can no longer be worn.
Each piece begins with the wearer — their face, visual needs, and how eyewear needs to function in daily life. This may involve reworking scale, bridge fit, colour, or construction to resolve limitations in an existing model, or recreating a familiar shape that holds personal significance.
This approach allows proportion, balance, and material to be shaped deliberately, resulting in eyewear that feels resolved, comfortable, and personal.
THE PROCESS
Bespoke work begins with conversation and careful observation.
We take time to understand how the frame needs to sit, how it will be worn, and what role it plays both visually and practically. From there, form, thickness, colour, and finish are developed in response to the individual rather than a fixed aesthetic or trend.
Every decision is made with attention to comfort, durability, and coherence — ensuring the finished frame works naturally with the wearer and their lenses.
MATERIALS & MAKING
Frames are made using high-quality acetate, shaped and finished by hand. Materials are selected for both their technical properties and their visual character, allowing subtle variations in tone, translucency, and depth.
The making process is intentionally slow, allowing time for refinement and adjustment at each stage.
FIT, FUNCTION & LENSES
Bespoke frames are designed in close relationship with lenses. Proportions, thickness, and balance are considered alongside prescription requirements to ensure visual performance and comfort are fully supported.
This integrated approach allows both frame and lenses to work together as a cohesive whole.
